Cruise control problem

I have a '95LSC, with 80k. I have replaced the transmission fluid and filter, and from this time, I have lost the cruise control.
Other problem in trans, before I change oil in it , I have big noise and hesitation to go from 2 to 3 and 3 to OD an the OD pushbutton has no action and the lamp don't light, the bulb is ok,I have verified. No problem to go down. I changed oil and the problem has not completly disappeared, but it is better.

What do you think about that?

In France, nobody knows anything in this kind of car, I make everything myself (I have a V6 camaro for my wife).

Have you checked the fuses?

Does your horn work? Does the Supplemental Restraint System (airbag) light bilnk when the car is running? The reason I ask this is, these circuits all run through the clockspring in the steering column. If the clockspring is completley broken, these circuits won't work.
 
What transmission fluid did you use? Also what filter did you use?

It sounds like you had this problem before the fluid change correct?

Hi

Fuses are correct, horn works correctly, the light of ABS comes on at the start and off some seconds after.
But I can verify contacts in teh steering column, how can I access?
 
I use Dexron II, I think it is not enough quality fluid, it is hard to fiind Mercon V in France.
You are correct, the problem exists before change, I use a Fram filter I bought in US when I was there.
 
Dextron II is not the correct fluid... you need at least Mercon III if you have no access to V. But Mercon V is crucial to proper transmission protection and operation.
 
Mercon 3 came stock for the 95's but Mercon 5 is ideal. Amsoil full synthetic ATF is the best though, if you are gonna order online might as well get the best!
