Damn....I just got NAILED!

Vista has not crashed on either one of my computer in about a year,which is as long as I have owned them. It has NEVER crashed.

But I dislike it, it is very slow and resource hoggy.
 
I'm not a big fan of Vista, either. It came on my new computer, and I lost a printer because it was "too old" for Vista to bother to recognize {sigh}. My old computer is a Linux machine now.

We like to have different programs to scan our machines with, because one program will always find bugs another program misses ;)

You obviously missed my point.

ALL OS's gather large amounts of crap over time...even Macs. In a lot of cases, the only way to remove it is to reinstall the OS.
 
Not sure where to put this so instead of reviving a year old thread I'll stick it here.

I'm moving/transfering about 300 miles away to Santa Cruz. I'm moving into a house in a rural area and I'm having trouble finding someone to provide me with internet that doesn't cost 100/month. Hopefully I'll be up and running within my 2 weeks vacation but we will see. I'll be on here asap to catch up so no worries, I'm not dead or anything. :)

Well "new posts" are going to be way down for a couple weeks. LOL

J. If you are still here, where are you moving to? I thought comcast was pretty much all over the county by now. I pay about $150 for Internet, TV and phone.

There's always Vango J,oh and noe that your going to only be 2 hours away keep room in the drive for my 96 lol

LOL! I see what you think of me, lol. I called ComCast and they don't have service at Casserly @ Mount Madonna...this is a Charter area and they don't come out here either, lol. Ended up using Hughes Net, got 1mg download speed but haven't tried the main computer yet, running the laptop with wireless.

Sorry...only have a 2 bedroom right now...its on 22 acres so there is plenty of room for some tents. :D

Thanks guys....made it in ok, and mostly moved in. I'm on my way to get Duke!!!! Its been 2 years without my doggy...I can't wait!
