Dang car alarms!

A Honda with a Viper alarm had been going off for 2 hours (6am - 10 minutes ago) at our apartment complex. I pulled up Plano police non-emergency number, call up, give description of car, location, everything... not 10 seconds after I hang up the alarm stops. Go figure. I got some crappy timing.

Funny thing is, I've become so used to those things that I didn't call to have the cops come check out a break-in, I suggested they themselves come break in it and disconnect the alarm.

As George Costanza would say: "we are LIVING in a SOCIETY!!!!!"

Anyway, wanted to share my bad timing.

RE: Dang car alarms!

Sounds like you got more sleep than me though.

Our fire alarm in our building went off at 12 in the morning, then again at 4, and a 3rd time at 5am.

Can't wait to take that calc final in a few hours. :/

RE: Dang car alarms!

I never pay attention to other people's car alarms. Just part of the urban landscape nowadays.

Heh, do you live in a dorm, or a place with lots of students? My freshman year I lived in the dorms (ug). Every Thursday night/Friday morning the idiots on my floor (which I later learned was the Floor From Hell, but I didn't know any better at the time) would get liquored up and pull the fire alarms, sometime between 2am-5am. Every week. For damn near the whole year. It sucks having to get out of your warm bed at 4:30 in the morning to go stand outside in 10 degree cold for 20 minutes while the fire department comes and cleares the non-existent fire. I had fantasies of murdering the people on my floor.
