my boss showed me an interesting tool from mac tools(about 100.00) its a data recorder for obd II computors. the part number is ET 3010. he uses it to isolate intermitant sensors ect.probably come in handy as a tuning aid!!

I use the datalogging function in the Xcal 2
It's custom configuration allows you to pick and choose what parameters you want to display.

You can datalog directly TO the Xcal 2 then dump it to your lap top.
Or you can use the pass thru datalogging when you connect your Xcal to your car AND your laptop.. when you do this it gives you a "digital dashboard" you can view.

On the plus side, not only can you datalog your PCM, you can erase the trouble codes..AND.. put a custom tune on your car as well.

I got my Xcal2 on ebay for 50.00 ( you have to pay more for the tuning solution though)
I already had the tuning software {it's 300.00)
But the Xcal is a great diagnostics tool.

On my EEC 4 car I used the snap on mt2500 to read the live datastream

this unit does download to a laptop ect. xcal is a nice unit very versital. but if the mac data logger sells NEW for 100.00 e-bay price should be very good! I also own a snap-on mt 2500(I should have traded it in on modis whan I had the chance!! now its an overpriced code reader!!!) this looked like an affordable way for eec IV owners(93-95) to see whats going on when they have running issues!
