I use the datalogging function in the Xcal 2
It's custom configuration allows you to pick and choose what parameters you want to display.
You can datalog directly TO the Xcal 2 then dump it to your lap top.
Or you can use the pass thru datalogging when you connect your Xcal to your car AND your laptop.. when you do this it gives you a "digital dashboard" you can view.
On the plus side, not only can you datalog your PCM, you can erase the trouble codes..AND.. put a custom tune on your car as well.
I got my Xcal2 on ebay for 50.00 ( you have to pay more for the tuning solution though)
I already had the tuning software {it's 300.00)
But the Xcal is a great diagnostics tool.
On my EEC 4 car I used the snap on mt2500 to read the live datastream
