Thanks for posting that Moe. I watched it shaking my head. The kid came in a minute or so into it and was totally repulsed by what they were doing.

We both decided that going fast is cool, but doing it at the track is the best place, where it's a real competition. Of course we both speed, I won't deny it, but nothing like what was in that video.

Morons. all of them. Especially the media, for once again, bringing it to the public eye, making it appear totally real. For the most part, yes, it exists, but the media/reporters make it seem as if it happens in every city, all day long, and the Police cannot stop it.

Unfortunately, the morons in that video are ruining it for the rest of us who enjoy powerful cars, and know where to race...

I PRAY the day i see one of them, alone, parked...waiting to meet another "dial-a-racer". it would be such a joy to do body work on his hood with his face.

Folks...the media makes them seem worse than they are. But for the record, every little ricer out there dreams of being one of "them"...and they are costing YOU money.

I need to go buy an old pick-up truck, with good seatbelts...and start trying to CUT THEM OFF, destroying their dreams...

I have nothing against building a fast car....obviously...but there is a reason they built racetracks. Unfortunately, the tracks are closing down all over the country for "lack on entrants"...I saw plenty of "entrants" on that video.

and that "mother", who thinks its ok for her son to "die doing what he loved to do"...needs to be slapped. There is something to be said for "upbringing". let he tell the mother of a family HER son kills "well, he died doing what he loved to do."...what about their kids?

The sad truth of the matter is, the crash-safety level of a Honda civic is not up to snuff for a car that has a bolt-on 300 hp set up. they strip it down to save weight, forgetting that along with half of the panels they replace with fiberglass, can no longer withstand the structural impact involved in a crash at speed.

a rolling coffin, if you will.

p.s. FHP is spending lots of money at Dennis' shop to build marauders that can reel these punks in. Even dateline showed their cars.

I agree. The tracks I've been to weren't suffering from lack of entrants. It seems they should be opening more.

the hole country is messed up. all the tracks are closing then we have fast and ferious movies messing up every thing. making stupid kids even stupider and giving them bad ideas and then we have people that even belive it is true.

Yup, there have been hearings here about english town because of the people that move in next door them and now complain about the noise.

Yep...same thing with our local track. But there are 3 tracks that have closed down in my general area for "lack of interest". So, I guess I shouldnt have used that as an example on a nationwide scale.
