DDRAM ?

I am noticing that on the DDRAM that it starts off at PC1600 then goes all the way up to PC4200. What is the difference in this kind of RAM? I am guessing that the higher hte number the faster it is. I have a cheap mobo that can accept both DDRAM and the old RAM which I have now. I have a stick of 512 and 256mb PC133 in my computer and am wanting to upgrade the RAM to DDRAM. Right now I only have a AMD XP 1800 processor. I do play games and watch a lot of videos. I plan on getting a DVD burner in the near future as well. WHen I have the luxory to be at the house and not working I am on my computer. I use it a lot! With that in mind which DDRAM should I get, if any?

In the next year I am wanting to upgrade my mobo and processor. MY computer seems to be really fast and can do everything I want except when I burn cd's I am thinking that when I start to burn DVD's that it will slow my computer down even more.

Hopefully that made sence. Again thanks to all you computer gurus' that add your 2 cents.

RE: DDRAM ?

If you system supports it then get it, it is better performing RAM then you have now. DDR RAM effectively doubles the data throughput
