Thats a factory phone holder for a Gen 2 mark VIII. I....also have one, but it isnt "empty". My 94 has one also, with phone.
it is worthless to some, and a treasure to others. Mine...it sits in the console as a conversation piece.
its like having a dragster slick in my trunk...totally worthless on my car, but cool to say "I have one".
