Done deal

Those of you throwing stones I hope your home owners insurance covers glass. :D
And to the OP it may be your caviler attitude of your postings of the incident that is causing some of the flaming.
If you did not want people to ask questions then you should have just posted up that you were parting out a Mark VIII, listed what parts you had for sale and left it at that. :fart

Yet another fair point... :D

I'm waiting for my PM from Craig... :D

I'll post some pics when I get the time. Just got done with the last part, the engine today. It was felony DUI because my friend got a scratch on his head. Spent 4 days in Yuba county and they had to release me with no charges as of now.

Damn Jarod! DUI is no joke, felony DUI is a lot more serious, not to mention that even if your friend doesn't want to press charges, its not up to him, you WILL be charged.

Did CHP take you or did Lincoln PD? Where were you and how bad was the accident? Did you guys go to the hospital, did you roll the car???

You say that you were "barely" over the limit, but the limit isn't what determines your imparement. You had atleast 4 beers (or equivalent) and wrecked your car doing 115....obviously you were impared, so saying that you were "barely over the limit" does not hold any weight.

Glad your alive....sorry you're going through it, but its a hard lesson to learn.

+1 for what Steve said. Don't get on Jarod because he made a mistake, he's already got a hard road ahead of him, not to mention the money its going to cost with all the DUI classes and what not. I'm not saying be nice and happy, just don't be a dick....and if you're going to PM each other, keep it at that...don't bring it on here. Be men.

I was heading southbound and wrecked right before the 70/65 split. Ya the car landed upside down. The felony was for a scratch on friend head and they thought it was more serious because of the blood running in his ear from the head wound. He refused medical treatment and was dropped off at the gas station in wheatland. The only thing I got done was blood test at the hospital.

Ok. You made a mistake everyone does. Your lucky no one was hurt. You will pay for this for many years but, you know that.

My advice: Stop punishing yourself, pay your fine do any time the court requests
AND just make sure it does not happen again.

Sorry to hear about that Jarrod. I was really looking forward to seeing you at this track this summer.

Not everybody. I've never even so much as sat behind the driver's wheel after having drunk anything stronger than iced tea.

My sympathy level is zero, BUT you learn lessons by making bad decisions. If he learns, then the end result of all of this is a good thing. If he doesn't learn I hope he just takes himself out the next time he has a wreck and doesn't hurt anyone else. Our average IQ will go up.

Well I grew up with my grandpa throwing beer cans under the seat as we drove and the beer in his mug, so before your so quick to judge my lack of common sense I grew up not giving a F.

I will still be at the track this summer Jeremy, I have a 94 that I am swapping the guts into now. I just got my 10 acre 5000 square foot house back from the bank, bought and paid for in cash so I will be able to put some more money in the mark 8. Also I will get back to my normal boxing routine so I wont be drinking at all for those who are offended by my actions. Trust me I have had friends die drunk trying to pass cars not wearing seat belts and all 3 died.

My motto:

Good decisions come from experience.

Experience comes from bad decisions.
