Door Adjar?

Alright for the past few days my the door adjar message has been coming up. The door is definitely closed and I cannot figure out why this message will not go away. I tried playing with the little push in button like things that are in the door jam and it's not that. I thought that it was from the snow and the ice and it was probably just frozen but all the snow is gone and the temperature has been above freezing. So any ideas on what to do? Let me know-I appreciate it--

RE: Door Adjar?

Had a similar issue a few weeks ago.... All you have to do is spray some WD-40, and exercise the latch by opening and closing it... it will go away within a day max. Mine went away in 2minutes.

RE: Door Adjar?

Before I joined this site I took mine to the dealer and they replaced the switch. I had the message come on after I would wash the Mark, or if I drove it in the rain so I think mine was an electrical problem with the switch. I never got to try WD-40 on the actuator.

RE: Door Adjar?

I get this every Spring... I spray a little WD40 in the latch and the problem vanishes.

RE: Door Adjar?

Billy Dee Willams says "WD-40 It works everytime", Wait!thats Colt 45? anyway wd-40 works.

RE: Door Adjar?

Alright I sprayed some wd-40-twice in the door latch where the door would connect to look in place. I sprayed it inside the opening and the door adjar light still comes on. Any other ides or comments; maybe I am doing something wrong with the wd-40; I'll try again tomorrow hopefully that will work
thanks jim

keep doing it it will work eventaly or you can pull the door pannel off and take the switch out and clean it

RE: Door Adjar?

Am I to assume that the sensor is integral to the door latch itself? The way everyone makes it sound is such. I never have seen a "button" or "pin" so to speak. Maybe that's why.

RE: Door Adjar?

Door still adjar-how long does the wd40 thing usually take to work??? Are there any other solutions or things I can do?

RE: Door Adjar?

Do I need to just spray the latch or should I be opening and closing it a bunch of times after I do that?
