Door Lock Solenoid -- ? Lbs pull???

Whelp, as my 95 LSC sits in the body shop, my body shop guy says, "Your door handles are shot." This is a great time to shave the door handles.....

As we were brainstorming, he wondered out loud how well it would work to use the existing door lock/unlock solenoids to pop the door (We were going to use the door unlock circuitry to wire the thing anyway). I'm not convinced that those solenoids have enough "pounds pull" to get the job done, but seeing how as it would save me some bucks, I have to ask anyway:

Does anybody know what the door lock unlock solenoids are rated at in pounds pull?

Thanks for all your help.....

The door lock solenoids strip/break easily just pushing the door lock button up and down and unlocking the lock cylinder.

I seriously doubt they would actuate "door poppers" for any length of time without failing.

Door popper are not expensive, I would do it the right way and recommend getting real door poppers. Every Mark that I have seen with shaved handles have had poppers installed, no mention of using the factory solenoid.

Lol! Try eBay. :D And when you install them just remember...its all about leverage. You don't need a 60lb popper if you install it right.
