Driveshaft loop

Has anybody put in a driveshaft loop in their Mark? I'm putting in a bigger fuel pump now so I thought it would be a good time to do a driveshaft loop as well. Is there a particular universal driveshaft loop that would work best?

I have one from an MN12 that needs to be installed.

Not an easy task since the driveshaft needs to be out for the unit to bolt to the underbody. I need to get it done soon before tech calls me out on it.

i have been under 2 1st gen marks and both of them had 2 drive shaft loops each. they had one in the back right by the rear u-joint and one about a foot ro so from the tranny. they are put there from the factory to keep the drive shaft out of the gas tank in case something breaks.

NHRA rules state that with slicks or if you are under a certain ET (I forget) that you have to have a driveshaft loop 6" from the front u-joint. Some tracks may not check, but i asked the techs at Brainerd International Raceway last year about it and they said I would need one this year.

I know Summit sells universal kits. I was just wondering if one fit better than another

Where did you get yours from driller?
