We had to take Sharon's car in for emissions testing in Illinois and failed. Seems Illinois now requires that all the system monitors are turned on. Several of Sharon's were turned off in the tune. It was never a problem before since the car passed several times. The guy at the testing station said Illinois made the change 6 months ago. Oh well, what can you do. Lonnie kindly sent over a tune with the monitors turned back on. Should have solved everything since no hardware was removed. Now the car fails because some system monitors show as "not ready". Plus We are getting some new error codes. The test report only cited the EGR code as a problem but obviously closed IMRC's is a problem if the code is accurate. I have tried clearing the DTC's several times and they repeat. After I drive the car for 20-30 minutes the Check Engine light comes on. Following is some summary information on the codes and what the test report showed for the monitors. I have an email into Lonnie and I am sure he will respond as soon as he sees it. Hopefully the tune just needs some adjusting. Anyone have any thoughts? I can not access my service CD at the moment. Obviously I should have drove the car around for a while before testing it so go easy on me.
P1000 (monitors not ready) - happens as soon as the key is turned on
P1409 (EGR Electronic Vacuum Regulator Solenoid Circuit Conditions)- happens as soon as the car is started
P1519 (IMRC closed B2)- Never seen this before. It takes 20-30 minutes of driving to trigger this DTC
