Engine codes

Can someone tell me if these codes indicate a specific problem or are these "mysterious" codes that can be generated by many different problems.

113- Intake air temp sensor above maximum voltage

524- Low speed fuel pump circuit open battery to control module

543- Fuel pump secondary circuit failure battery to control module

Still trying to diagnose the poor performance under light acceleration. If I step on it it's fine.

RE: Engine codes

Then also be sure to diconnect your battery ground for a minute or so as well to reset the computor.

RE: Engine codes

I experienced similar with my 1993. Unplugged and opened up the VCRM in front of the radiator (takes the hit first if in a front end accident) after finding that all circuits ground there looking for a grounding problem - reassembled and replugged with only dusting. Had Oxegen sensors replaced. Replace Fuel filter. Tested Fuel Pressure. Had Throttle body cleaned. Replaced ugly delco battery with motorcraft battery. Replaced air filter. Checked lots of electric connections (all Grounds including the ugly one inside the dash behind the EATC) and found the main PCM firewall plug had sand in it. Never sure what but it went away - mostly after the fuel filter replacement. Also the tranny had the plastic accumulator replaced and the direct drive clutch replaced. Change Oil and check drainage for fuel contamination.

There are so many interactions between systems - it's a holistic approach.

Sounds like poppycock... but true. Follow the diagnosis guide - it's good.

113 - is also coolant related - burp the system to remove air bubbles.

RE: Engine codes

Disconnected the battery. Drove the car today for a few hours seemed better for a while than started to have problems again. MIL on and off again, I will read out the new codes tomorrow. Maybe I can start to narrow it down now.
