has any one completes a motor flush using chimicals you add to the oil, if so what did you use and how well did it work.

I had my mark flushed at the local oil can henreys within the first month after i bought it last Feb, to start using Mobil 1 at every oil change. They do a two step flush: 1 they drain the old oil out and put one a filter, then put in their brand of flushing lubricant/cleaner and have you idle they car for about 20 min, then drain it replace the filter again and then fill with Mobil 1, cost me just under 100 bucks, but have had no problems. Each time i have the oil change now the old stuff coming out is pretty clean looking and is still got that amber color to it with just a hint of brown. I have used the 5min motor flush in the past one my other cars and have never had any problems with it. One thing if using these products dont put it in and then drive it like i have seen some guys do.

I've just drained my oil after having Auto Rx in there for a few thousand miles. The oil looked the same "dirty" to me, but the oil filter weighed a ton. I'm guessing that it deposited a bunch of sludge in there.

Do those anti-backwash filters really make a difference in keeping oil up in the engine? I'm talking about the Fram Tough Guard filters and such. I get that clacking for about 4 seconds at start-up after it sets for a while.

Yes, with any oil filter not in a true vertical orientation, buy a quality filter with a silcone check valve. I use K&N Gold.
