i have a couple mods on my mark, now im shooting for the exhaust, i would like to have the quiet rumble, but i know with the cats off how much more will the horse power go up, and how loud should i expect it to be? removing the cats is my next move, im just trying to have the ultimate sleeper. the drivers side cat i cant see anything else to do but gut it out, and cut the passenger side off and replacing it with a straight pipe, and the one in the middle i dont know if thats a resonator or another cat, should i keep that or remove it too? HELP MEE!

Do you have emissions testing?

IMHO, remove the middle and put in an x-type cat-back dual 2-1/2 gutting the cats.

NO emission testing in michigan, there are hundreds of shops here in detroit that take off converters with no problem, i just know theres gonna be a little more to it with the drivers side. so the middle one is like a resonater or something?

I have no factual information as to the function/purpose of the third cat.

#1) There is a resonator behind it. It is the silver can/tin that looks alike a supersized can of spam in shape. (and is usually a lighter color than the 3rd cat)

#2) It does act somewhat like a resonator in that with the stock resonator the drone at 1700-1900 RPM is pretty much unberable for long highway trips. Itw as awesome at first but after a while it got awful. SO I cut it off when iw ent to pick up my blower in Palatka (a 2 hours or 3 hour highway trip) This move the drone up to around 3000ish RPM and I am guessing that the third cat is what caused the drone at this RPM.
