exploding front bag

I replaced my compressor and relay yesterday.

Today, headed out to lunch, I get a "Check Air Ride" message. So I turned off the engine, the ride height looked correct. turned on the key w/o starting the engine so I could hear my quiet new compressor run.

After a few seconds BANG my right front bag apparently exploded. I can't tell any more than that right now as it is slammed all the way down in the parking lot at my office.

I'm guessing I must have knocked loose the height sensor on that side?

What else could it be?

COuld be a leaky bag that tore. But the usually cause it a height sensor off. But the front would have to get pretty dang high before that happens.
