Jim Prince (Gaspeddle) has chipped in with some details concerning Fines Ford giving us a chapter discount.

The contact is Ed Nicholson. "Ed is the president of the Super Coupe Club of Ontario and is very knowledgable about most Ford products. He told me that he would offer our club members the same discount he gives to the SCCOO and Mustang Club. I saved about $250 on my front struts through him, so someone should contact him, accept/reject, and get terms, etc."

I've sent an email to Brett (our Dir. of Vendor Relations) to see if he will get involved. Thanks Jim.

Brett will be providing an update anytime now as I've received an update from him by email. He's currently dotting the "I's" and crossing the "T's" with Ed of Fine's Ford.

The discount for LOD, OCC members will be in effect immediately.

Identify yourself as a LOD, OCC member and specify the parts you require, Ed works out the discount and you decide whether to ship or pick up the parts, it is intended to be that simple.

I just got back from Fines Ford. Ed is a great guy! He took the time to go and ask one of the mechanics about a part I was buying. He even came off of his lunch break to help me out.

Even without the discount I would reccomend buying from Ed.

Is the discount available only to the Ontario Chapter, or to all LOD?

The discount is available to all LOD members, but customs and shipping cost may be an issue for members in the USA.

Update: Ed can't ship to the US as it would violate their dealer agreement.

Maplecrest L~M is still giving discounts to LODers. Call 908-964-0544 and ask for Dave and tell Dave that I sent you & that you are a member of LOD, the Mark VIII on-line club.
