As suggested by Blades, (Stefan) this is a good event to take advantage of August 10th. Stef also volunteered a Barbie-Q to follow. Don't you just love Barbie's on the cue... Oooops, wrong forum.

Anyway, August 10 should be firmed up if you're into it.

That's what I'm thinking too. We can confirm with Blades. I'm sure everyone will bring some vitles (sp.) and refreshments. Should be a good time. Lot's of time to plan...

August 10th is good for me, definetly make it a family day, if that's the consensus, bring your swimsuits aswell. We'll work out other details and directions later.

Sounds like we're a go then. Should be a good time. Let's discuss the details some time in June. I've updated the Chapter page with the date. More details to come.

Blades, are you going to confirm with Fines that LOD will be attending their event, or do you want Jim (Gaspeddle) to lead?

Before this goes any further, I think that it needs to be noted that anyone who wears a SPEEDO or a THONG to the pool party should have their membership immediately revoked and will have to trade their Lincoln in on a Kia Sepia!

A public vote is needed on a matter of this importance.

I find these terms more then acceptable, unless of course we find a substantial increase in our chapter membership of the young nubile female persuasion, then we may want to revisit this proposal.

By the way, did you hook up with Brett yet? He needs the contact name at Fines so that he can establish a discount for the members.

I was talking to Ed Nicholson on another matter and told him that there was some interest, probably +/- 6 Mark VIII's, for the Aug 10 car show, but that someone would confirm the amount later.

Ed is the president of the Super Coupe Club of Ontario and is very knowledgable about most Ford products. He told me that he would offer our club members the same discount he gives to the SCCOO and Mustang Club. I saved about $250 on my front struts through him, so someone should contact him, accept/reject, and get terms, etc.

Brett Carey is still planning on establishing contact on behalf of the chapter. He tells me his Mark is currently having some suspension work done. He should be up there next week.

It's just about time for an update. Has anyone heard from The Stef???

Neil: I just haven't had time to drive to Bolton yet.

The Mark is back on the road, new upper control arms on both sides,new rocker panels and some minor sheet metal repair around the gas filler cover.

I will be at the event on the 10th and if possible, I will drive to the dealership to discuss the discounts in person at an earlier date.
