I've got the FR500 steering wheel (M-3601-B) in both of my other cars, and was determined to install it in my LSC.
A simple bolt-in in the Cobra, and with some Mustang parts (cruise switches, back cover), in my SC.
Not so simple in the LSC.
The Mark VIII steering shaft is splined, the Mustangs use two flat spots.
So, what did I have to do?
1. File two flats on the steering shaft.
2. Use a 98 LSC Air Bag, cruise switches, steering wheel shrouds, and back cover.
3. Modify the back cover to fit the steering wheel by removing a couple of plastic mounts in the back.
4. Use Mustang horn switches and horn switch bolts.
But, it's in, and I can't wait to take a spin. :big-grin:
The first pic is stock, the other two are of the FR500 steering wheel installed.
