putting coil springs into a mark VIII doesnt declare it a race car lol. you like riding on air fine, until the day you go outside and see the car belly down on the ground and have to pay for the air ride.
Why not?. Did you know your car isn't really worth much more than a clean Yugo?. Sucks but its true.Like I said earlier, if you want to drive a Lincoln do not expect to pay Yugo prices.

LMAO!. Case in point: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yugo...oryZ6472QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem , http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/39-0...oryZ6472QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem . Mark VIII's regularly go for much less than that.If you want the dropped coils that is just fine with me. If you want to argue that the Mark VIII was not really designed for the air ride, that is OK too. I may disagree, but I will not get bent out of shape over that claim.
However, when tell me my Mark is not worth much more that a YUGO, I think that it is time for you to undergo a urine test for controlled substances.
I remember when Clinton had her husband bomb the Slavs in YUGOslavia back in the 90s. The Yugo factory was completely destroyed. Estimates put the cost of the damage at around $17.53. It would have been less, but UNITY left his vibrator there when he toured the place with Obama.
Since your Mark VIII is only worth a little more than a Yugo, I will be happy to offer you $19.95 for your Mark VIII. Please let me know, I pay cash!
its pretty sad isnt it. i wasnt going to get into this part of the discussion but it is true, the value of your prized mark VIII is ALOT less then you think. its worth alot more to its owner then it is to the next guy. i buy mark VIII's all day long for under a grand that run and drive and everything works, they may not be pretty looking, but thats besides the point. the value of the mark VIII has plumetted, they are not worth nearly what most owners think they are. and i have to say that yugo looks sweet, say what you want about it, but that one in that auction would be in my driveway if i had the money, that thing is mint lol.
pray all you want, someone will buy that yugo for its asking price you just watch that auction till the end, then put a mark VIII on there and try too and see what happens. its like evolution, people now adays are much more aware of the mark VIII, how much is required to keep one going, and how obsolete the parts are, so people who want them pass on them, people who own them are getting rid of them, and 80% of them are ending up as trade in's and going through the auctions as whole sale cars cuz no one can sell them. its right out in the open, just look around, THE VALUE HAS GONE DOWN THE TOILET. there is no hiding it. i still love mark VIII's but their days of being worth anything are gone. lincoln cant support the owners of these cars, so who the hell wants one if they cant keep it going. and dont refer to kelly blue book on what a mark VIII is worth, this is the real world kelly blue book isnt the one buying a car, the public lets us all know what the car is worth. if i got what kelly blue book said all my past cars were worth, i'd be in the carribean right now sipping cocktails next to my own private island.
what makes me think that is you can buy yugo parts all over the world still because they made more of those cars than lincoln produced mark VIII's. and as much as i would like to agree with you on some day the mark VIII will be a collectors car, i dont think it will ever happen, they'll all be dead and crushed before they are worth anything. people cant keep them running and on the road now, how are they gonna make it another 20 years lmao.
Well, 1950's huh?. Ok, lets say 1955. The car would now be 53 years old. My Mark VIII will be 53 years old in 43 years and I'll probably be dead. So who wants to keep it in good shape till then?. How much money will it take to keep the car in good shape till the year 2051?. How much will the return be?. Its a lost cause. My friend has a Lincoln from the 1950's and they made less of his particular Lincoln than the Mark VIII and his car is definetly a collectors car.
im sure by 2051 combustion powered cars will be banned from any roads if there are any roads left by then! what good will your mark VIII be when its confined to your garage and illegal to drive! the way this planet is going, everything fun and worth anything to anyone will probably be gone by then, eventually, they'll take everything away from us except maybe the clothes on our back!

I live in northern Illinois, and it's essential for winter driving for me to put winter tires on and 400#'s of sand in the trunk each November.
Coils? No thanks.
The Mark will be ten tomorrow and my air ride to date has cost me zero. (still gotta knock on wood)
