Hey guys,

I lost my job so I may have to sell this car. I cant pay for the insurance on my 2 vehicles, so if something doesnt change, I may have to sell! The car is a 97 Mark VIII, and its in fair condition for its age and mileage. Car has around 163,XXX.

The good:
Air suspension has been rebuilt
New Rear Shocks
Total Front end rebuild
Replaced oil filter mount gasket
Decent tires (bought last year)
Doesnt leak any Oil
Transmission shifts great
Merc V fluid changed every 25k

The Bad:
The passenger side seat had a pen explode on it.
There is Rust on both lower door skins.
Goodyear aligned the car to Continental Specs, so it pulls to the right.
It has a small intake manifold leak at the Throttle Body - Intake manifold, but not enough to set off the CE light. Needs new gaskets.
Sunroof broke, so it only props forward.
The Rear Neon is broke, and the Ballast is bad.
The Front windshield has a crack now, (thanks, NW Indiana construction..)
The Strut Rod bushings have just been replaced, but I can still feel them move.
Some dents and scratches, as one would expect.
The Chrome wheels are horrible. They are corroding.

I'm asking 2,000, but Ill take 1,800 for you guys.

There ya go, now some pics.

As of this moment in time, I cant pay for the insurance or gas in it :( I did spend $1,000 on the suspension, and 300 in the charging system though! lol I do love this car though.. with the new air assemblies, it rides phenomenal. I took it on a 3500 mile round trip to Key West, FL.. man what a nice drive!

is it me, or does there seem to be alot wrong with it for the price? maybe I am wrong so I am asking

ok, I mean yes it is good looking but you said rims are crap? seat is bad? do you have a picture of the seat? rust on door skins? any pics? alignment is off, intake leak, sunroof broken, rear neon but we all know that is fixable, windshield is cracked, strut rod bushings, I mean it doesn't look bad in the pics but damn. I wanna buy it but I think my car had less wrong with it and I scrapped it, lol

A pen exploded on the passenger seat skin. I'll take pics. The wheels are flaking chrome. I'm going to park the car in my shop and replace the garbage advanced auto strut rod bushings, and pull the TB off and replace the 2 oval gaskets, as well as replace the seat skin. Damn I may as well keep the damn car now... Lol

haha sorry not trying to insult you but I want a car and this sounds good otherwise.

Its a wonderful car that ive put lots of time and work into. I didnt even list the other new parts, but there are some things wrong with it... it IS 14 years old.

Just posting this to back up AnthraxBirds Price. He is honest and upfront about every little problem, after 14 years and 16xk miles they are expected.

The blend Door, Hids and transmission, air suspension seem to be fine which are much more common failure points for that car.

That said 1800 for decent looking running car is a great deal.

Go ahead barry, I have no way to get it, although I would buy it.
