my charger for my gps started smoking! I pulled it and now I have no dash lights the Gas gauge does not work, power ant is stuck in the up position no tail lights. I have brake lights turn signals head lights and emergacy flashers. I pulled every fuse and all are good even the ones under the hood. I cant test the silver fuses. I dont have a meter. The tack works and the temp guage works also. No radio either. Can anyone give me a clue?

Silver fuses?

There are only fuses under the dash and the turn signal flasher. Under the hood, there are fuses and relays.

You never said what year Mark you are looking at.

There could be a fusible link/wire that is open.

Give us a year and what does and what does not work. The gas gauge and power antenna are on different circuits. They be come common further upstream (toward the battery.)

I'll check the schematic of my 94 and see if it points to any one feeder branch.

checked all the fuses in the panel inside car with a light tester and these are the ones that had no power

4,7,8,13,16,18

I swaped thes metal fuses number 14 and 12 and it didnt make any difference.

Key on? Some of the instrument panel fuses are powered with the ignition on and others are always on via a fuse from the power distribution box under the hood.

This may help...

Looks like the 50a F/PNL fuse may be blown!

Yes, I agree. That fuse supplies power to fuses, 4, 8, 12 and 16. The 40A F/PN supplies fuse #8 and #11

It was a 50A fuse under the hood. All better now.
