i just purchased a set of ngk iridiums for the mark. gap is supposed to be 54 .54 .0.0..54 or whatever. these came pregapped at .59. when i checked the gap with a gapper it was about .56-.58. is this slight overgap going to put me in a situation or will i be good. any input will be greatly aprecciated. thx

RE: gap?!?

If they were copper, I would say close 'em up a tad(0.048"), but you'd probably not notice any difference from 0.054 to 0.059. Being iridiums, you will not see the wear as a set of coppers would erode over time, so I would say IMHO you're good to go as they are. You must exercise extreme caution with platinum or other e x o t i c plugs(due to the fragile fine wire center electrode) when attempting to change the spark plug gap.
