Gas

just drove by a station, 93 is about 2.60, regular about 2.35. Down by my parrents (60 mi away) it's about .10-.20 cheaper. I wonder how long the lower prices will last this time.... I think this is about the price the first gas price spike went to back in 03 or so, now we love it. I think if gas went down to 1.50 for regular it would really help jump start the economy, but I'm sure that won't happen.

2.27 for premium this morning at my local shell station.

I only run Exxon, Chevron or Shell gas.
no texaco, no valero, no citgo.. none of the BS gas companies.

Exxon Chevron and Shell will "stand behind their product" where as Citgo will tell you to go "pound sand" if you try a "bad gas" claim.

I got rust from my local Exxon, and they paid to replace my fuel pump and paid for all the gas I had purchased in the 3 month span.

First they tried to tell me my "gas tank" was rusting, until I told them there are no ferrous metals in the mark 8's fuel system, so it HAD to come from their tanks.

about 2 months later, the station pulled their tanks from the ground.
I got 300 dollars for a fuel pump and 570 dollars for the gas I'd purchased in that three month window.

The ONE time I didn't use shell recently and used a small mom and pop place my car ran like crap to the point the car would nearly die. I took the fuel filter off and primed the fuel pump a few times, all kinds of water came out, and when I flushed the filter backwards small rust particles came out. Shell only for me, NEVER had a problem with it in many years.

Time to take a first to mom and pops face.

yea tell me about it, i was pissed when I saw that. I went back there and the manager/owner wasn't around and the attendant was telling me my fuel system was bad not his gas. He changed his tune when he saw the jar a **** gas I had with me...... still never got any satisfaction from the owner. I got rid of the water and junk, up and running fine now. Just frustrating that their pumps didn't have proper filters and/or water separators in place.

well ill tell youguys what i had a problem wiht water in the fuel before when i was in la and i threatned to get the epa involved and they paid for everything and on a diesel it was almost 2k to fix it and they wrote me a check no questions asked they didnt want anyone poking around their station well good luck im sure this is happining alot now

I am in Canadian Liters here. About a week and a half ago it was 1.29 a liter, and now it is 86 cents. A BLESSING for Lincoln owners.

Now lets see how long this lasts...
