gauge pod and gauges installed

did these for a friend. this is the purple mark i painted few months ago. since these cars have no actual voltage gauge he wanted one added, plus the factory temp gauge in the cluster stopped working some time ago so i installed one of them to. the gauge pod i used is actually from a 1st gen eclipse but it fit so nice! the gauges match the cluster now too, white face, and indiglo blue. i think they look pretty good. taking the old temp sensor out of the crossover tube and getting a reducer and putting the new sensor it sucked!! if i had removed the alternator it would have been cake, but i just put the alt on it 4 hours before, i wasnt in the mood to remove it again lol. the volt gauge has to go back though, its defective and stuck on 2 volts lol.

nice i like those gauges they kinda have a "classy" look to them what gauges are they? the pod i have in my car is one of the universal fit deals that comes with the 1/2" foam to make it fit. i threw the foam away and got the plastic hot and pressed it to the stock pillar to make it form to it.

the gauges are 2 1/16 white face from speedhut.com and no the cluster gauges are not factory, they are made by speed glow and are also electroluminescent. they have a dial that we put on the side of the steering wheel column that switches from blue to green and can also be dimmed with a wheel dial. i forgot to take a pic with all of them on.

yup the 20600 is the one i used. the gauge cluster in this 93 is the EL-Glo for 1st gen, for some reason i said speedglo, but the link you put above is exactly where he got them from. i really like the gauge cluster in his car, i may end up doing something similar, but i want reverse gauge faces, i want them black, and light up letters and numbers in green to match the interior lighting. im going to do the same for the pod gauges if i do them, speedhut lets you design your own faces and lighting.

Any reason why you didn't use the one for a t-bird that isn't riveted on, they replace the whole thing.

**edit** I just went looking for it and I can't find it, I'm sure there was one in the past....

the owner has one for a bird, the reason why we didnt use it is because when the gauge was put in the hole, the screw ring on the back of the gauge would not go on, there was not enough room on the backside to fasten it to the pod, i just happened to try a gauge in the eclipse pod and screwed the ring on with no problem.
