Gen 2 passenger side mirror: need to replace completely

Hello,
New member here. I need to remove and replace the complete passenger side mirror on my '97 LSC. I read some previous posts about replacing various parts (i.e. the puddle lamps, turn signal LED, etc.), but I haven't found instructions for removal of the entire mirror and housing. Are the bolts located behind the black triangle-shaped plastic piece on the inside of the door next to the window? Will this require special tools? Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

Ok. This job turned out to be much bigger this non-mechanically inclined person! I wasn't expecting to have to remove the door panel to get to the mirror electric connector. Why is it at the BOTTOM of the door? What a pain! Now I need more advice. I am having trouble putting the door panel back on. The door handle and the door locks stem don't are making this difficult. Do I have to remove the the inside door handle to make this happen? I've tried numerous times, and it seem I cannot negotiate both the door handle and the plastic tabs which affix the panel to the door.

Update on door panel installation: I was able to re-install the door panel. The plastic cup that slides behind the inside door handle must be removed before the panel can be positioned so the tabs to align correctly. That plastic cup can be removed by gently tapping on it from behind. Once the panel is on the door, then slip the plastic cup behind the door handle and gently tap it into place onto the door panel.

This is probably obvious to most people, but I thought I would post this in case someone else non-mechanically inclined (like myself) can search this forum for this tip.
