Got it!

I talked about it in another post, and it finally happened. I am now the owner of a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. It's black with grey leather interior and every option available. Probably not going to activate the OnStar...no need for it I guess?? Anyway, just thought I'd say that.

I know I may have ticked some people off by saying what I did a while ago about all the fighting. I apologize but I went through it all with another club and ended up doing the same thing -- buying another type of car.

I hope everyone has a happy holiday and a great New Year!

RE: Got it!

Congrats and take care Scott!

Hopefully you'll find the guys on the Bonneville site closer to your preferred personality profile.

RE: Got it!

Paul - My dad's ok with it. As long as it's an American-made vehicle, he really doesn't care anymore. He's tired of seeing the foreign companies overtake Ford & GM. He joked with me when I got home by saying, "Ya know--Ford's stock went up 4 cents today. GM went up 42 cents. Wonder why?" Hehe...

As for buying a new car because of the club, that's not what I meant at all. Well, kinda. I join a club to socialize with fellow members and get information on the car I'm driving. But when fights start out and things like what happened on LOD begin, I tend to shy away from both the club as well as the vehicle I'm driving.

BUT -- this time it was more along the lines of the company I'm working for giving me $5,000 for a car and I had to make a decision --lose the money or get a new car. The Mark started falling apart in the last month or so, and when I was offered what the dealer gave me, I couldn't resist. I did buy it from a Ford dealer though. :)

RE: Got it!

Way to go Scott. I looked at that car myself when I was shopping for my mid-life crisis car. Of course I found the Mark and ....
Road trip is in order now.
Oh, by the way 70 degrees today here. Come on down.
