Got my Lincoln Tattoo - Pics within.

If you don´t love lincolns - Why are you here?
I do like my Lincoln. I like lots of cars and all sorts of stuff. I adore my toilet too but I'm not gonna get a tat of it anytime soon.

I have been a fan of the brand since I was.. ohh.... 10. If I have held my dedication for this long it offers commemoration of such a milestone. And yes, a 1996 Town car. The year was not important to me as I went through several designs of Town Cars wit my artist (who happens to be one of the best in the country, the picture does not do it justice as well as it was warped because of the amount of jelly on it, there is an insane amount of detail on it.), As it also was a marker bidding farewell to the Town Car and it´s major platform. Town Car happens to be the lincoln I appreciate the most.
There is a fine line between being a fan of something and plastering it all over your body.

And trust me, it is a lot better to get a tattoo of something that I am and have been dedicated to for the past 10 years then whatever stupid designs of butterflies and celtic crosses people usually come up with that they regret the next morning.
Its your body. A woman with a little tat here and there can be a sexy thing. A heart, a rose, a butterfly, etc. A woman with a big arse Lincoln all over her arm............

I love Lincoln,a nd that should go without saying because I am here in the first damn place.
Trust me, nobody here will ever question your love affair with Lincoln.

to be honest i have been thinking that getting a ford emblem with the trucker girl sitting on top of it would be a cool tat.

I am a TOWN CAR fan. I got this tattoo to commemorate the service The Town has done for me and for Lincoln. I do not like to drag race with them, I do not like to hydraulic them to hell and back, I simply enjoy their craftsmanship. They are wonderful cars full of prestige and class no matter the year, which is why I laid out over 20 pictures of Lincoln Towns of various years to decide on. I came with this 1996 because I appreciated the mix of old and new Town Car (as you may or may not know, the brand new town cars are based almost completely off of the towns of the 90s.), and I liked how it was the most detailed. Where the ones from the 80s were amazing but rather plain, the 1996 had everything, the grill, the cat eyes, the third valet window, the spokes, and the trim, a fusion of the Golden and New generation of Town Cars.

The Fine Line has been crossed and was crossed a long time ago when I started working two jobs to pay for a Lincoln I had no place to put.

I am a huge Lincoln fan, and thus i plaster it on my body, this is not the only thing i have a tattoo of, dear. But I like to keep an inked collection of all that I am madly passionate about on my body. And unfortunately though I am a woman, none of my passions include butterflies or roses or hearts. But PLEASE, Feel free to get one yourself. Or maybe a tattoo of a woman with a rose tattoo on her, seems you would appreciate that much more. Perhaps I should also paint my Capri pink?

I wonder if you fast forward 10 years and look back at the things you are now saying, will you feel like an idiot or the same?. The Town car is doing so much for Lincoln that they are axing it and replacing it with the MKS. Any free space on the other arm for an MKS?.

I just have to ask, what else are you passionate about?.

FWIW, I agree. :)

I almost bought a '96 but ended up with an '02 that I traded in for the '06 I have now.

I for one will miss the Town Car line. I thought Lincoln was crazy when they killed the Continental. Now I know they're crazy for ending the Town Car.

Yeah, but MKS came about when Mr. And Mrs. Natural Fibers started wanting Lincoln´s head on a plate for the Town Car being one of the biggest fuel suckers on the planet. Lincoln thought they could try to appeal to a larger audience if they started with new and fresh images with the public, unfortunately they are heading down the same path Cadillac went down, and it cost Cadillac their dignity (Lincoln Bikes free with any purchase, anyone?).

Really, I love Lincolns, I have since I was a little girl (that is bordering on 12 years now), unlike many people who like a band or show or flower for a day and paste it on themselves, I wait years and years and years before I even consider putting it on my body. 12 years is a long time to be dedicated to something. Still like that butterfly you have?

I am passionate about a lot of things, I have a tattoo of my now deceased Boyfriend, I have a tattoo of the Lady, I am getting a tattoo of my pup soon, he means the world to me, he basically saved my life. I have three deck suits on my leg to represent me and my family, I have a batman tattoo (Batman Fan for 17 years now and still mad about him).

But then again, I should not be having to repeat or list my reasons why.

DRILLER:

Glad to see another Town Car lover. I found a Cartier, it´s almost 6 hours away, but I am considering walking over to beg for it.

I think Lincoln is just pulling a Cadillac on us, ripping out all the classics and attempting to wash anew with the public out of desperation in the failing car market. They may very well start to try to appeal to... (gulp).. middle class families...

LOL, it may be worth a try. ;)

The closest I came to a nice Cartier was the look-a-like clock on the dash of my '06 Designer edition Town Car.

Oh this is a mint condition lovely 88. 4K.. Please... Selling it for next to nothing. I would pay way more for that car if I knew where the hell Allardville was. It´s probably in hell for all I know. One soul sold for a lincoln, a few disposable organs to go.

I just went over to the Lincoln.Com site... Once the Town Car is gone, it has ¨Lincoln 4 speed tricycle¨ written all over it. Though I loved the comparing feature. Town Car still kicks all other options asses. Ahaha, they even gave you the chance to compare it to a 500,000 dollar Saleen. (There was a star beside Lincoln´s generous seating size and price XD)

Just get a tat of it on your arse. It'll last forever and be priceless!;)

The only thing I am tattooing on my ass is the MKS.

But take your own advice on priceless, timeless investments and grab yourself a life while they are still fresh off the {1996 Town Car} Grill.

+1

Tiffany, my girlfriend loves lincolns, has a couple of tats..and no one gave her a hard time.

great post Lux!

but you have to admit, unlike most internet forums, she walked in and didn't get an instant leg hump from 200 guys.

haha

which is worse, 200 guys humpin your leg or 5-6 giving you a hard time?
she prolly appreciated the 5-6 giving her a hard time alot more than the alternative.

AND.. she hasn't stopped posting.
*grins*

couple points:
1)I have run a Limousine company since 1997. The 1996-1997 Towncar was by far the greatest Towncar ever to be built, from a Livery perspective.
2)I have never had a tat, so I am indifferent(have no opinion). But I will say no one, not one individual on the planet has the right to tell anyone what they should or shouldnt do to their body. Plastic surgery, enhancements, tatoos, piercings, hair die, botox, reductions, whatever. Ignore the ignorant-they have no right. They have opinions...and you may do with them as you see fit.
3)what part of New Brunswick? I spent 3 years in Rothesay. It is one of the most beautiful places I have evr been to.

Nobody told her not to do it as it was already done. It was posted for reaction, some was good and some was bad. She got opinions on the tat, is that not why it was posted?.

Mmmm....I didnt see where opinions were asked for. I personally thought the author was simply sharing something she was happy about.

I am just trying to be supportive. You wont get an argument out of me.
