Grandmas Car is gone...

Hey Tommy! Just bustin in to say congrats on the new boy! We have the same birthday. Sorry bout your car. You didnt have a trunk monkey did ya?

Sometimes crummy things happen to bring you better things in life.

You have the best of the better things . . . Tiff and Corey!! Congrats!

bastards!

bastards!

Tommy....this is just sickening.

I am sorry to read all this pal.

I'll put the word on our DRR since there are many racers in that area.

I just wish this was actually a case for the show

Overhaulin'

as for the NEW life in your world...congrats...sometimes life works in mysterious ways...just hate to see new parents stress about other things when there is something so precious in their world happening.

focus on life's miracles...the rest is just time passing.

Overhaulin'

THANKS Craig, they got my race car. daily driver.. and most of my possesions in one fell swoop.

my first thoughts were an "overhaulin" scenario, but when tiff allowed me to go out and spend money we didn't have for a replacement car, i knew i hadd'nt been "overhauled"...lol

I saved the best for last.

Yes this new miracle in our lives far overshadows the bad things that have happened the last few weeks.
We are looking forward and not dwelling on the past.
Thanks for your kind words sir...it's appreciated.

...so ya went and bought a slow Gen 2...they stole more than just your car, Tommy! (hahahahaha)

you know...when you get tired of shelling out cash for the Gen 2...let me know. I have a 94 just begging for race duty...and I aint askin much.

needs paint, so you can paint it any color you want...

and it has fewer than half the miles your car had!

it's ready to race Tommy...just needs gears/trac-loc...oh, and a diet!

hope all is well in "parent" land...I remember the days very well....sleep while you can. say hi to Tiff for Brenda and I.

BTW...off topic...Brenda went "super pro" racing last month...first time ever with a "box" in the Peanut.

she went .000 on the tree to beat Kevin McClelland, one of the country's top sportsman racers...she went .001 on the tree two rounds later against Dennis Paz, another hitter.

dog gon it...looks like we BOTH got some female guns in our houshold!

I paid about half for the second gen than you want for the first gen.
I got lucky and found a decent car and the price was right.

I needed to get out of the first gen anyways... wanted an OBD2 car and really wanted to get some decent abliet unavailable headlights..haha

Tell Brenda congratulations from both Tiffany and I, we're not gonna be racing much if any for a long time, so we'll be depeding on you folks to keep our addiction fed with some racing reports.

WE definately got some "hot shoes" for better halfs, that's for sure!

Thanks again craig!

I have been thinking if getting gen 2 for this very reason OBD2.
I think I have fixed every problem you could think of on this gen one
Do you think a gen 2 is better because of OBD2 ? any other reasons you went with a gen 2 ?
I know 96 had OBD2 but if I sold the 93 I think I would try to hunt up a low mile gen 2.

OBTW hows life with no sleep ? :D

WOW...HAHA that's all I can say about that!

As for the gen 1/gen 2 deal.

honestly the first gens styling has been and always will be my favorite.

I absolutley hated the crappy first gen headlights, but was willing to overlook that flaw because I simply loved the car.

The EEC-IV/ OBD2 delimma arose when all the cool tuning stuff came out and non of it was for obd2 for the most part.
I always wished that when I got my 95 that I would have held out and gotten a 96 instead.

A 96 LSC would have fit the bill nicely.

My main goal with a suitable replacement for Grandmas Car was.. Good Headlights,OBD2 and affordable.
I got lucky and found a car that met those terms...

I have to admit as much as I love the aggressive styling of the first gens, this second gen is really starting to grow on me...ride is alot nicer..it seems alittle more sure footed than my old car did, most likely due to the miles. but it feels tighter none the less.

I cant wait to get my hands on an Xcal and do some datalogging... I've been chomping at the bit to explore the obd2 stuff, especially after dealing with EEC-IV stuff for so long.
