GT500 supercharged 5.4 acquired

Hey everyone.

I traded some kustom car work for a 2007? GT500 5.4 SC engine.
Wondering what all is needed to install it in my 94 Mk Viii.

Will the 470RW bolt to it?

Do I need the Mustang ECU and harness?

Besides lots of time and $$$? 😜

I know terminator engines ('03-'04 Cobra) have been swapped successfully into the Mark VIII chassis but I am not aware of any 5.4 swaps. I wouldn't think the Mustang ECU would handle the transmission duties but you may need components of the harness to splice in? You could use a stand alone engine and/or transmission controller.

You're definitely in uncharted territory here, but it's territory we're very interested in. Please keep us posted! That's a sweet engine.
 
I awoke in the middle of the night thinking about this. 😜

I vaguely remember one Mark VIII I ran across years ago on the Hot Rod Power Tour that I believe had a 5.4L engine. So this morning I started Googling...

Actually, that looks more like the 5.4L SOHC SVT Lightning. :rolleyes:
