Ok I'm going to the drag strip tomarrow, Tuesday. You just make a guess and if your right the first one who posted the right time will win 5 US dollars in cash sent to your house. You just guess the second and tenth like so ##.#

To help you pick a time I will list every thing done to my car. I have a cold air intake with an off road K&N, 4:10:1 gear ratios with trac loc, Comp T/A drag radials, Transgo shift kit, Hayden Trans cooler, MSD 8.5mm super conducter wires, Cutoff mufflers, bosch plat 2 plugs, passenger seat removed and rear seats, everything out of the trunk, weather is going to be clear with a high of 85F and a dew point of 61 and humidity is said to be 51%. Its route 66 raceway I dont how many feet above sea level

I ran 15 flat all stock FYI

Good luck

RE: Guess the 1/4 for a cash prize

Since you don't have the chip to remove the limiter, I'll guess 14.65

Good Luck !!!

RE: Guess the 1/4 for a cash prize

My guess is a 14.55. Mainly because of the weight reduction and slicks.

Jeremi, your ride is looking tight. I like the grill a lot. Even the engine looks sharp. :) Are you going to be at that Hooter meet coming up for Manuel? You better show up.

14.89?

The weather data and elevation of 650' tells me a correction factor of 1.031. I figure you good for 14.45.

14.45*1.031=14.89

I hope you prove me wrong. :7

RE: Guess the 1/4 for a cash prize

for those who guessed 14.6 or higher I beat me friends cutlass that runs 14.4s and i beat him by a car w/o slicks or being lighted up or trans kit

RE: Guess the 1/4 for a cash prize

ok in order here what we have so far
Jeremi(mad1stgen) 14.65
Luke(Grifter) 14.75
Jon(Gaydog) 14.55
Edwin(Marine) 14.24
John(Driller) 14.89
Peter(Nysbadmk8) 14.54
Moe(Wheres Barney) 14.70
Michal(burbank) 14.20
Calvin(claviroman) 14.72
Sandy(Sandy) 13.98

Got 6 gallons left so any other tips before I go, I might load the converter rather then flash it, because I have the slicks so it should just hook and launch me forward.

RE: Guess the 1/4 for a cash prize

I don't think pre-loading will help you out. You're better off flashing it from the dead idle, since that will create the most jump in torque and slicks will help you to maintain traction. By all means try it out though.

Comparing numbers from a different car doesn't mean crap. Hit the track already and come back and post the time slip. :D :D :D

RE: Guess the 1/4 for a cash prize

good guess I myself is hoping for 17 timeslip but I wont be bringing my 2nd gen ;( I will how ever be bringing my pavement burning tire smoking exhaust screaming 3rd gear chirping 1st gen }(

RE: Guess the 1/4 for a cash prize

flashing the verter is going to net you one suck butt 60 foot. The name of the game is preloading. 1200-1600 will net you the 60 foot you want, you just need to play with it and see what nets you the best 60
