While adjusting my 1994's right headlight I ran into a problem. When I raise it up to level, the assembly is loose (up and down). If I adjust so the headlight points almost all the way down then it becomes tight with no (up and down) play.
Since I am not familiar with the mechanism in the assembly I am assuming that maybe threads are stripped in the adjustment screw or some other part/s is broken or missing (just a guess)?
For now I have placed a piece of foam under the assy and then tightened the light down against that by adjusting down on the screw. It seems to be working...no looseness and staying in the bubble). That is fine with me if it works long term.
Just wondered if anyone knows what the problem is?
