Hello Everyone,

My name is Tom, I live in Iowa and have a 95 Mark 8 that i bought from my parents, I am 17 ( I hope that does not affect the way you look at me) i have always been involved in cars as my Dad owns a shop and specializes in electronics. He has the factory scan tool for almost every line of cars. (Honda, GM, Dodge, Ford, Saab, Jag, The list goes on)

We bought the car with 100k on it. It now has 125k Overall it is pretty good shape, We have replaced the front bags, tie-rods, alternator, and some other small things. The Leather on the drivers seat is a little worn and is starting to tear. The Drivers door handle is broke on one side but still opens the door. Besides that the car is great it drives very good and is really fast. Non of my friends stand a chance when they try to race me. On the other hand i have had 2 tickets and am on probation till October so no more racing for a while:rolleyes:. However living in Iowa the winters are hell so i do not drive it in the winter the car only gets drivin when there is no snow.

Here is a pic of it

So far i have Tinted the Windows Back 15% and Front 35% (Legal in Iowa is 75% in front)
Put in a aftermarket Pioneer Stereo
My next project is to get some new lights that are HID's or something cause as all of you know the lights suck.

Another great project that we have is a 91 Mark 7 LSC with 429 that is Fuel Injected, I will try to get some pics of that up later.

My last question for all you members is what would i get out of being a member here since i already have all access to the most up to date Alldata and Mitchel

Welcome! What you get out of being here is being part of a community, that shares interests of cars and other things. There's more, I'm sure other people will tell you. But congrats on the car, she's so pretty!

WELCOME! You get a lot more here from the experience of the members than you will ever get in Alldata and service manuals. Case in point... typical problem with marks is the car telling you a door is ajar. Bring it to the dealer and they'll charge you big bucks and replace the latches and sensors... look it up here and you'll find that a quick spray of WD40 in the door latches solves the problem.

ALso, consider joining the LOD, for only $20 a year you get a lot more out of this site.

Funny that you say that because i had that problem and but some wd40 on it then the module in the trunk shorted out or something and the interior lights would stay on but we cut a wire from that door agar switch and all was good again. However for only 20 i do plan on becoming a member very soon:)

And on that 91 Linc i talked about i got a quick pic with my phone, the quality is terrible and the car looks bad from sitting for a while but you will get the general idea. :)

If your door handle will still open the door, its probably just the springs came off. If you take it apart you will probably find the spring and retainer pin down inside the door like I did and be able to put it back together. Saves you from buying a new handle and having to paint it.

welcome aboard!! I'm sure you'll find the insights from other members invaluable(especially for upgrades/mods) alldata/mitchells drops the ball completely! while the members would still offer to help, it helps keep the site up and running!

Welcome, the next thing you should do for you 95 is to get the rear wheels facing in the right direction. :D
