i put it on 15oc freezing cold then i go up to 18oc its super hot heat that is no happy medium and my outside tempatuer is messed up it is around 25oc outsude and it reads -40oc

and i try to get in the self daginos sysytem and no go i turn the key press off and florr at the same time then i press auto within 2 sec

Anyone have any idea what this could be
i remeber seeing a common problem in this car for the hvac dont remeber what it was
and do you no ware i can find the outside temp sencor i may have damaged it when washing my engine bay

Thanks in advance

Please post the model year of your Mark VIII and someone should get back to you tonight sometime. I have a feeling it's a vacuum leak under your dash..... after re reading your post, maybe a broken wire (disconnected (?) wire to your temp sensor.

You most likely need to replace the thermistor for the outside air temp to fix the reading.

ya i am going to look at this in the morning i wonder if that would have anyting to do with the problem i have inside the car
I am wondering if it thinks it is so cold out that it is pumping all this heat to make the car hot inside ??? That make sence ???

Thanks

Of corse i have one and i also have OnDemand will look at that in the morning
i am guessing if i fix the outseide temp everything else will be fine

I changed the outside temp sensor and it seem to be a little better i did all the test and it leded to that but now the outside temp is corect i am going to change the inside one also it is all full of crap
