Help, I Can't See!

My windshield is dirty and my windshield washer is not spraying any cleaner onto the windshield. My washer resevoir is full. When I press the washer button, the wipers go through their cycle, but no fluid is sprayed onto the windshield. Any easy fix without replacing the pump? Clearly someone must have a solution. I have been blinded by the lack of light.

If the pump must be replaced, what does it entail and what are the costs? Thank you for looking through this thread and any suggestions will viewed with both eyes wide open.

Purchase a new washer tank or pump and replace it...not a difficult job. It's up under the front.... Mine went out and I simply replaced the pump...an hour at the most. You could also consider one from a junkyard, but they are not guarenteed.

I have seen cases where the lines get plugged too. Before you replace the pump, even though its the likely problem, have someone listen up front if they can hear the pump.

these things love to develope some kind of slimey scum inside the tanks from the actual washer fluid, its like a white milky slime and plugs the lines, sometimes if the pump is working but not spraying, you can blow air through the lines at the wiper arm and blow backwards into the tank to clear it out, if the pump isnt working though, replace it its the only way its going to work again.

Thanks for your suggestions guys. I will try to see if there is a blockage first. Anyone have any idea what the new pump costs?
