Some time ago, My grandson changed the rt outside door handle on My 95 LSC. When he was done, there were two parts left over. A black one which goes on the metal shaft of the door lock button, and an orange piece that I have no idea where it goes. In any case the door latch is jammed.

Can anyone tell me how, or give me tips on how to remove the inside trim panel without opening the door, causing the least damage possible?? Oh, the inner and outer door handles are jammed as is the lock button and key lock.

Jammed? As in they will not move without excessive force? Or is it as if the the door is locked and will not unlock?

If it is the latter, I think a locksmith should be able to use a tool to open the door.

You may be able to unjam the door handle by removing the interior door handle cup and handle?

Sounds like he either failed to put on the plastic lock clip (orange thing) and this caused the rod to fall off or bind up OR the lock solenoid is frozen in the lock position keeping you from opening the door. Either way, you need a slim Jim.

Its probably the plastic clip that held the rod like he said. Now that pusher rod is jammed somewhere its not supposed to be. Buy new plastic clips and reposition the rod and grease the heck out of it with white lithium spray. It stays long time.

He's been posting....I wonder if he's fixed it. Its been almost a month since I posted.

Thank You! Well, Its open. He was back in town and said "no problem", he'd fix it. Which he did. However by forcing the outside door handle open, he damaged the outer handle and now it could stand replacing again. Needless to say, when I find another handle I can afford, I'll do it myself!

The next time I'm in Nebraska, I'll help you out... :D

I'm now a door handle professional... :p
