Hi Everyone! Just got 1994 Mark VIII

So I just got this Mark VIII.

44000 miles, senior original owner. Perfect condition when I bought it, always garaged and such.


until I got a rock chip in the front window and scraped the bottom of the back bumper, I'll fix it eventually :( Driving in the San Francisco sux.

But the car is awesome. Definitely gets noticed more than my two year old Volvo ;) I think the 100 city and freeway stop and go miles I put on it in the last two days was equivalent to three months of engine abuse for the old owner. Hope the struts and car last me a long while before any serious mechanical issues.

wow, those are some CLEAN cars :p

i'll have to clean mine up eventually. btw, do you know how much the bumper covers cost? they seem to be made of cheap plastic and cover the bumper. may be I'll decide to just keep two, one for everyday driving and one for when I want to take the car out for a spin.

well, another month or so and I'll be able to join you guys on another trip up to wine country. I'm a little busy now... I'll finish up school in December and then it'll be time to have a lot of fun :)

paid a pretty penny for the car, $5500, but I think it's worth it.

Nice find. One of my friends rescently picked up a '98 LSC in Ivory out that way with only 12k miles on it.

I really do like that color.

just got lucky, wasn't specifically looking for a Mark VIII, and definitely looking for a shorter car, but saw this one, had it checked out and bought it. hopefully the airbags don't need changing anytime soon.

this thing is so great... 0-60 takes about 7sec, but 0-50 happens in the blink of an eye. The new-style 325i automatic bmw coupe will attest to that. sucker thought he'd get around me.

handling and turning radius are amazing for a car this long.

Beautiful car. I like the Mocha interior (mine has the high mileage grey).

I was amazed by the turning radius when I first drove the Mark VIII too.
Maybe that was because my previous vehicle was front wheel drive?

If the airsprings do go bad sometime, it's not that big of a deal.

There's plenty of info and help here, to diagnose and repair the air suspension system.
