What are folks doing for HID replacements for GEN II? I tried an EBay auction for a conversion kit from some outfit called HID Solutions. What a goat rodeo that was. After two months I still didn't have my kit. Took another month after that to get my money back through PayPal. Some real scammers out there.
 
Apparatly, there is only one kit available that modifies the BASE to fit a different bulb. This was very recently covered on Mk8.org, and should be an easy search. Other than that, you're stuck buying used bulbs off the auction site.
 
I went to Mk8.org but I must be doing something wrong. I see mk8 in red at he top of the page but it doesn't look like a forum. Is there a url I can plug in to make sure I'm getting to the right place?

I'd be offended by that comment, however,..... after 20 years of marriage and 3 kids it takes a lot to hurt my feelings. One of the posts said go to MK8.org. I thought this was Lincolns Of Distinction. The face of it all has changed over the years and I'm no computer guru.

Sorry if I don't live up to your expectations......

Easy fella! See there was a little "war" way back. There is another site, markviii.org (not mark8.org) and well people's feelings got hurt and all. Hence the "joke" bit.

:confused: Offended? That comment wasn't even directed to you! I was just saying that the the address budpytko gave brings you here - and i thought he might have been joking. Whats the big deal? Im no computer guru either and i too was initially confused by the 2 very similar addresses.

Sorry if you thought i was trying to be smart - that was NOT my intention at all!

back in the day this site was the same as the other site, it was one site but they split ways, although this site is lincolns of distinction, the web address is mark8.org, vrs the other site that is markviii.org
you can get here two different ways, by typing lincolns of distinction in your search engine, or type mark8.org

That's sad, I bought mine from them with no problem. I guess they are going out of business.
