HID Lighting

Everybody knows that for a few years now Aftermarket HID lighting has been available for our cars, not including the OEM HID's from Lincoln. If you are like me and like to be able to see at night you may have used these aftermarket kits. For me, I would go so far as to say that I've put em in everything. Damn the torpedos, LET THERE BE LIGHT!! As a matter of fact, I recently saw a post that made reference to a ticket for aftermarket HID's. Well, finally, someone has placed on the market a related kit that is a wiring loom complete with a relay, fuse block, and all the needed connectors to hook up the system direct from the battery. This may not seem like much to some of you but I happen to like my low beams to stay on with the brights. Of course that is a very simple jumper between 2 wires from the multifunction switch. However, I have been warned that it waill cause the multifunction switch to burn out. Now, there is no need to worry about that. I have relayed both the low beam and the high beam system direct from the battery. The kit costs $12.99 plus shipping, and I think really slick. I dont want to plug any particular mfgr or store, but would say that if you watch the auction site, you will run into these sooner or later, and I say they are GREAT!!!

I've been very seriously considering putting something like this in my lawn tractor. :D

The trouble is, it has three headlights...

i drive a second gen, my low beams stay on with the brights even after installing aftermarket hid's into my low beam!!!! :)

....i jumpered the wire in the multi-function switch. I never heard that it may damage the switch!? What happens?

Doug

If you drive for long periods of time with your hi beams on it could (will) overheat and melt the connection at the switch. All you have to do is add relays and it's fine.
