how do you take off it?

Ok guys i have a 89 mark vii and i was wondering how do you get the top of cover that goes over the manifold cause i got high temp paint and i wanted to paint it blue like i did in the hinges here's a pic of what i mean it says h.o. 5.0 that cover want to paint it blue how do you take that off?

hey so it has to say 5.0 H.o to be that Huh? geez.. I've been questioning mine all this time. Mine only says 5.0 I was told that all 1986 Mark VII's came standard with the 5.0 H.o...

The upper intake plate is aluminum and needs to be treated gingerly. They ~do~ clean up nicely.

As for the 1986 engine, it will be based on your engine code.

yeah man i've seen them cleaned up nicely i plan on painting it the same color that i have those hinges but some guy on this post told me 4 bolts on it to take it off is that right???? if not how do you take it off and don't worry i will handle it gently i love my baby:)
