how many daily drivers?

It use to be, but once I started the "project" on it she went up on jack stands and hasnt been down for awhile now.

Try buying diesel instead of gas!!!

You paying $5.30+ a gallon like the folks do here in cali?

Unfortunatly the smallest engine in the family is the 4.6 SOHC V8 in the Crown Vic.

The 2003 Jeep might as well be a paperweight... thankfully my mom doesn't drive much (5k miles a year) so it doesn't really matter.

Changing over to smaller car doesn't make much sense now... the purchase cost will not be offset for a looong time but it is getting closer by the min.

I go and visit mine on the lift occasionally at Aric's shop :)

Thats lame Mike....pay all that dough and you don't even drive it! Haha! :p

Dude....its been FOREVER!

My car was my daily driver...I think I put about 17K miles a year on it. Its not in my Sig anymore and I sold it to my best bud, who drives it on the weekends.

At 16k miles, mine is a garage queen. I take it out a few times per month on nice days though... nothing worse for a car than sitting. :)

its cool to see ,so many drivers! I see a few around here unfortunatly most are in bad shape and getting worse! I found a T.red 96 on it's knees yesterday (78,000)been sitting 2 years the owner is mid 80's trying to decide if he will sell(lost lic. 1year ago could'nt pass eye test) it kind of bummed me out just wanted to know I was'nt the only one bitten by the mkviii bug. thanks for the replies I needed that!

Whoops, little late for me...

Whoops, little late for me...

Daily driver up till about 9 months or so ago when i took her down for upgrades. (or has it been longer?) who knows.
Hopefully by the end of this month it will be running. Just waiting on some more goodies i ordered yesterday. When it went off the road i was getting close to 21-23 MPG with my latest tune and the 4:10s. Can't wait to be driving it again. I miss the comfy seats and the moonroof.

I'm glad to see all these daily driven owners posting since I am in the process of picking up my first Mark VIII as a daily driver. The performance, luxury, and the fuel economy seems the be the perfect package for a daily driver. I hope the car I am looking at turns out to be the cream puff I think it is!

Mine are both daily drivers, although I don't drive the green Mark in the salt.

In the summer, I choose between the two Marks or the MG.

If it's a good convertible day (not too hot) I take the MG. If it's a good moonroof day, I take the red Mark, although it's taking a well earned vacation now, until I replace my fuel lines.

Sometimes I take the one that's the cleanest or the one that has more gas.

It's great to have a choice.:)

Mine is my daily driver, I got it new in July of 1997. I have just under 130K miles, or an average of about 11.8K miles a year.

My blown 97 is my daily driver in the summer, and my 95 is my daily in the late fall, winter, and early spring.

Both ours are daily drivers, although I don't drive daily anymore. ;)

My baby hit 96K on the way home from Carlisle. Hubby did talk on the way home about making her more a summer car and show car. We'll see.

I drive about 6 miles a day. Work on the island is close. Salty air cant be any good for it either. By the time it warms up I'm shutting her down for 8 hours. I drive mine every day though. Sometimes on a detail the Mark will idle for 8 hours with the strobes going. Never heats up past 1/2 way. I give it a lot of credit for a car with 185K.

My '93 used to be a daily driver. Now it's a garage slut, errr... I mean garage queen. :D

Now it goes out occasionally to Advance Auto, the car wash and drag strips. It usually hibernates from late November to early March.

The '96 is not a daily driver either, just a Sunday cruiser and an occasional loaner. :)

Mine is a fair weather driver in the summer. I only drive 2 or 3 days a year in the rain, on the way to and/or from Carlisle.

I try not to drive it to the stores around here, because people just don't care about someone else's property. I see them whack their doors into others' cars all the time.

Daily driver here also. About fifty miles a day, and averaging about 21 mpg.

While it might be expensive to drive, it's cheaper than car payments and gas! I can't really consider a replacement unless it gets 40+ mpg!
