How many owners have the extra capacity finned aluminum pans?

I'm seriously considering buying one of those high speed low drag aluminum pans for my trans. Not only are they gorgeous, more rigid, and hold more fluid, they just seem like a no brainer. However, they do cost a pretty penny. How many of yall have this pan and are you happy with it? Who did you buy it from?

I have one on the '93. I'm not sure of the source, it came with a transmission attached at DirtyDog Performance.

I don't have one, but for sure want one for my Mark VIII. I run a 3800 stall and just added a second stacked-plate trans cooler today. I think the finned pan would seal the deal as far as heat is concerned. I kinda like the drain plug idea too. :)

Bill over at SCP sells them. I don't know how he compares to others but here is the link:

I installed TCI pan in my Mark VIII last week and completly changed fluid to Mercon V. It just makes me feel better with 2 quarts additional fluid, cooling fins and it's good to have a drain plug in the tranny. I also have a TrickFlow pan in my '85 Town Car limo with AOD. TrickFlow is finished a little better than TCI, but only holds 1 quart more fluid as I remember well.

I noticed you removed those two stupid round things behind the pan, those things make getting the pan back on somewhat difficult. Beautiful pan!

Appears you were also smart and drained the TC as well. You did replace the filter.
Yup, I always replace the filter when I drop the pan. I just hate to drop the pan with fluid stil in the tranny, so I drained the old pan (in a redneck way) with a little help from Black&Decker :D

You mean those round rubber things which are also attached to exhaust system for some reason?? They are still there.

LOL, that's one way to drain the pan without a plug! :D
