How to program blank key?

Hello,
This is my first post on this forum.
I am the owner of '97 Mark VIII, I am from Poland.
I need to know how can I program blank key.
I have to say, that I have only one an original key!
I bought on ebay blank key but I've lost the instruction.

I would contact the seller on eBay and see if he has more(or a copy?). Either that, or take it to the dealership, if you have one over there.

OP needs to specify if he needs a key or key-fob reprogrammed... the key also has a specific procedure... just don't have it handy. I could spend some time to find it though.

Yea, I forgot the gen 2's have an ignition chip, don't they. I've got a gen 1.

Exactly....a blank key is just that, a key that has NO cuts on it and isn't programmed for the car.

Once the key is cut the instructions are in the owner's manual if you have one.

In Poland we don't have Lincoln dealer.

I bought blank key with no cuts for '97-98 Mark VIII. Now I have cuts but I heard that I need 2 original keys to program the new one!

That is the only way I know to program the PATS(Passive Anti-Theft System) keys. You can try the link below but I have not used this process to confirm it works for the Mark VIII PATS key...

My 95 has the PATS system right? Or can I just get some random key made?

You don't have PATs. Only 97/98. You can have any key you'd like including a screwdriver .
