HVAC....On Defrost Only....Help Appreciated

I know how the default position for the hvac goes to defrost only when there is not enough vacuum, but I have plenty of vacuum going to the climate unit and its not showing any codes when I run the test on the climate control unit........and it still is only going to defrost.

Is there any other reason it would do this? Dont think its the blend door actuator, although im not sure if its moving.

the blend door is for temperature so that has no impact on the flow.

Well...... Not good!

I traced the yellow vacuum line to its actuator and found that the plastic lever arm is broken.

Guess I have the joy of removing the dash to split the plenum and fabricate a new part.

I did the dash removal on my other gen2 mark for the same reason only it was the blend door that broke, but i really cant remember how the plenum split in half.........can you split it in half leaving the forward half along with heater core and a/c condenser still installed???
