RE: I am here for you

Everyone I have known that had a sunroof and a system has had problems with it vibrating. SInce it is not actually "locked" to a solid piece it will always vibrate. Same goes for the cover panel i nthe headliner. Your best shot is to isolate the rattles and not the vibration on the sunroof.

I too am glad that DJ is here to help everyone with their car stereo needs.

Your kick panels must be done by now since you have so much time to anwser questions. Any pics yet??? I wanna see!!

RE: I am here for you

Actually my time answering questions is usually spent with aryanna on my lap. She is obessed with keyboards! I will make a post when they are done, don't worry. I finally got the rage body filler not too long ago, and I have have one pod covered and waiting to be sanded. I probably would have had time to put filler on both of them, but it was a beautful day sunday, so I decided to take amanda out on a date. As much fun as car audio is, amanda is a heck of a lot funner!

OK, I have a question for you audio guys. I just got a set of component speakers and will soon get a set of 6.5" for the back seat. It is possible to just replace the factory speakers with these speakers? How would I do this with the way the stock speakers are wired? I have the stock amp and head unit.

Someday I will add and amp and a sub.

RE: I am here for you

get a component set for the rear too. Or dont get a rear set and fade it all to the front

RE: I am here for you

You could but it may not sound the best. The stock tweeter is cross over really low, where as most aftermarkets liked to be crossed higher. It would also require some cutting to get them to fit of course.

Some brands make 5x7 shaped componants, which would be a direct fit. You'd still have the XO problem, but no cutting. Kicker Makes them, and I think JL might, but don't quoate me on that.

RE: I am here for you

Maybe you can help me. i am installing an amp in the trunk. the wiring kit went in fine but now i have to run the power line to the trunk and im not sure where to go through the firewall. should i drill a hole and install a grommet?it is extremely tight in there to begin with. any suggestions would be great.
