I Crashed and need help a.s.a.p

so last saturday night it was raining and i was coming home from my buddys house and i was about 4 blocks from my house and my rear end lost control and i wound up smashing into a center deivider not too much damage exept my lcorner light fell off and was sparking so i drove home turned off my car and went to sleep it was 2:30 a:m so the next day i get up and go to check my car i try to start it and nothing my battery is dead so i jump start it and nothing was wrong exept for when i went to work sunday i parked my car and i came out my car was dead again then i realize my car wont shut off completely i turn the ignition off my ebgine stops but everything in my car stays on but my interior lights wont turn on at all wether my car is in the on or off position i checked the fuses and they seem to be ok w.t.f. is going on? could it be a relay?

so for now i have to pop my hood and unplug my battery every time i park my car for everything to shut off!
 
I would check that L corner light... you're probably grounding out a connection... any pics of the damage?
 
how does that sound similar? they are 2 very seperate topics im talking about my interior lights not working such as dome lights and the lights in the back seating area and on the floor panel..

the other post was about a door ajar message how is that similar?????????????????????hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
 
as for the useful info i got from maxmk8 i replaced the bulbs already and it seems to be working okay but my electrical system still wont shut down

I think what he was getting at that everything stays on in he car until you open the door and then the lights go on. I dont know but if the door sensor has failed could it everything stay on to drain the battery?

I must have misread one of the two topics.
1 I understood you couldn't get the door ajar message to go off.
When the door ajar message is displaying USUALLY the interior lights will stay ON.

Now I understand your original post is that the lights inside the car wouldn't "come on".

Sorry I must have not understood what had happend.

Sounds to me the damage has shorted something out. Take all the damaged parts off and inspect the wiring harness all around that area.

Probably a pinched harness with metal body damage slicing through one of the wires which made an open in the curcuit and or a short to body ground is killing your battery. You don't notice the drain with car operating cause your alternator is working overtime to keep the battery charged. Get it fixed asap or youll be hunting an alternator soon. Bad enough our cars came with wimpy alternators to start with for all our power gear on a loaded car. You don't need more drain on an overtaxed alternator. Make sure your fuel pump shutoff switch is fully reset if it only tripped it halfway open from the rear end slam into gaurdrail. That could be sparking also sucking power. We need pics of the extent of the damage if you can post them. If i had my CD handy id go digging in the schematics for the relay location for interior lights. Check for power and ground on all of them and make sure that wiring harness in the damaged part is good. Cut apart the harness material and look at ALL the wires in that area. Its easier to OHm them all out with a meter to ground or component, then you dont have to take it all apart. If you have one that does continuity.
