I think a fairer comment would be: Hey, that's a site that doesn't have 30 moderators stepping on everyone's (um) members all the time. (Pardon the pun).

It's actually a place that prefers self-regulation and disagreements between posters are settled by the individuals, the way it should be.

It may be a little loose by 'other' site standards, but this is a still a free country last time I checked and freedom of speech is still one of our inalienable rights. At least until (pray not) Obama gets elected.:)

Mean people suck but he totally redeemed himself in my book by giving out that "rick roll" link. LOL.:D
 
malicious scripts are stupid, unless you actually wrote it yourself.

If you just cut and paste someone elses hard work then your nothing more than a script kiddie... WHOO HOOO i cut and pasted a rickroll scripted page.

Back in the day we used to WRITE malicious scripts for fun and used them on "EACH OTHER", where "all parties were willing victims".

Posting a link in a problem thread where someone is looking for advice is not even mature enough to be called childish.

AND yes Montermark {the mod} probably shouldn't have been compiling a huge file while he surfed his message board.. but I am ALSO very guilty of having my work "actual real work" open in my other monitor while I'm doing other things on the web.

Again, posting malicious scripts to "willing victims" is one thing.
Tricking an unsuspecting n00b and alot of message board user is pretty sad.

10 day suspension is "light" IMHO.

Google "noisy bear" that is an example of the malicious scripts we used to use on a regular basis.. again.. ONLY ON WILLING VICTIMS..

Sounds like a direct insult to the Mods keeping this place running and just because you have freedom of speech, it doesn't mean you can spread it anywhere you want, expecially where there are rules and regulations.

hmm a place that bans for an OLD joke called "rickrolling" and we are stepping on people's (um) whatever :rolleyes:. Lock up this convo about bashing this or any other forum. Keep it friendly. We only care why people are here not why they aren't somewhere else.

I actually wasn't referring to this site but I do have one in mind.

Btw, I think this place has been running great if you are asking my opinion.
