I hope no one is upset

I resisted the convertible in the stock class.......

Other than the convertible conversion it is completely stock. I figured it fit best in that class. I hope no one is upset.

Modified is not just number of mods but also the degree. If you swapped out the engine for a blown big block 427 that's technically only one mod but it certainly can't be considered stock. IMO your car is far from stock, every show would class it modified.

Personally, I don't care how it's classified as long as it's there! But Leo does have a point...

Ignore Leo... :p

The only thing I'm upset by is the lack of HIDs... :D

And really, "no roof" 1 mod... "HIDs" 1 mod...
So I think you'd still be stock... :D I'm pretty sure you'd have to have at least 3 mods to be considered 'modded'...

I may throw some HID's in the stock housings, that way it appears stock.

Vehicle Modifications

Stock (3 or less modifications)
Modified (4+ modifications)
Pro-Street/Race (Tubs, Induction thru Hood, Roll Cage, etc)
Street Rod (Pre 1949)

It's not like the owner modified the car with the convertible top. If I recall correctly they were sold 'modified'.

Personally, I'm with Patrick, I don't care as long as it's there! :D

I've registered both mine 'modified', despite my '96 'appearing' stock. You could argue my '96 could masquerade as stock since most of the mods are driveline related and never seen. If it weren't for the wheels and front brakes it would most certainly 'look' stock.

I think Moose is just jealous. :fart

If you're gonna go 1/2 way, you might as well go all the way... :D

Or, you could do the reverse 1/2... put halogens in the HID housings... :p

Where does that line fall also? Are K&N filters a mod? How about copper plugs? Shaved intake tube? The list goes on...

Isn't this Peer judged?

So it depends on us Peers?:D

I'm surprised they haven't eliminated Peer Judging at Ford yet. GM, Chrysler, and Truck (and maybe others) have gone to teams of judges either at a central location or they come to the showfield.

I miss the old days when we all just got together and decided who was getting what award...

p.s. I think I'd like best interior this year... lol :p

I'd like best rear window... It would take away some of the pain..
BTW.. Stock or Modified class.. just bring the vert.

You might have some competition on that one... someone, I'm not saying who... might be getting a new back window today... :D

HA!!! Remember that guy Joe? He was so impressed your "Lincoln" had that Cadillac interior!

Let us not forget the woman you had to talk out of voting for CaddySax, cause it was her favorite Lincoln...

Getting back to the original subject of this thread.....
After seeing the progress thread, I really, really think stock is the correct class for the vert.:embarrassed:
