good to be here amongst other lincoln fans. i've had my town car for 2 weeks now and im enjoying it alot. i had a 97 continental a few yrs ago but i leased the car and because of my job as a musician driving all over the place i learned a painful lesson about leasing! i think im addicted to lincolns now.. anyway.. as a buffer i got a ford escape after the continental so as to be in something entirely different. not even remotely like a "car" so i wouldnt miss that continental ride power and comfort(and fun too). but after a "skateboard incident" with my 11 yr old son.. breaking my femur and 3 1/2 hrs of surgery and 3 hospitals and now 3 1/2 months on the mend and getting better one day at a time i told my wife that the "only time my leg hurts is when i have to drag it up into that ford escapes seat .. i need a lincoln town car" so she knows i am car sick and went along with my plan. this car is great. it had 68,000 on it when i bought it 2 weeks ago and has over 69,000 now already. i really enjoy driving it.. i even drive more safely...as in slower.. cause it just crusies in comfort and i am on the low end of the age demographics for this kind of car ..anyway im wondering if theres a kit or a way/system to get a cd changer happening in this car using the controls in the steering wheel. is there a way? i went to a tweeter store and they were not only kinda dis-interested and stupid but insisted that there was no way to hook up a cd changer using the steering wheel controls. does anyonre know of a way to do this?
